Restaurant Fined for Questioning Transgender Patron Using Women’s Restroom

In June of 2018, an employee of Cuba Libre Rum Bar and Restaurant questioned a transgender patron – a man who believes he’s a woman – heading into the women’s restroom, asking to see a driver’s license. After a confrontation with the male attendant and the restaurant’s manager, and a threat to call the police, the customer left the restaurant.
