Talk about the book of Colossians as a couple. Read each chapter together or individually, then focus your conversation on the passages below and discuss the questions that follow.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17).

• If money were no object, how would you serve God with your life?

• Who inspires you by the way he or she lives out the ordinary moments of his or her life?

• How can you serve God in your everyday activities, regardless of financial constraints?

We all have goals or dreams of things we'd like to do for God's kingdom, but it's also important for us to live for Him daily, doing all things in His name. We need to live for Him in the ordinary events of life, chores, jobs and parenting, doing all things "as working for the Lord" (Colossians 3:23).
